Johnson Fitness Center
Dedicated in April,1992 to the memory of Benjamin Alvin Johnson (Class of 1911) by his son William B. Johnson (Class of 1940), the Johnson Fitness Center features state of the art collegiate facilities such as the Johnson Fitness Center Field House, the Decker Aerobics and Dance Studio, and the Louis Goldstein Life Fitness Zone.
The Johnson Fitness Center is home to the Washington College Sports Performance Department who seek to improve the physical and mental qualities of its student athletes to create successful, leaders, mentors, role models, and people both on and off the field. They accomplish these goals through systematic, research based programming done by the Sports Performance Coaches at Washington College. The Sports Performance staff works to ensure that sessions are created and structured in a way that athletes can improve their athletic capabilities each time they enter the weight room. Athletes are pushed to enhance strength, speed, power, stability, agility and quickness through the programs created by experienced professionals, in turn leading to more successful performances and accolades on the field.
