Glasser Breaks Pool Record in Loss
CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Visiting Ursinus College topped host Washington College, 109-96, in Centennial Conference women's swimming this afternoon inside Casey Swim Center. The Bears improved to 7-4 overall and 3-3 in the conference with the win, while the Shorewomen fell to 4-5 and 1-4.
Senior Rachel Glasser (Silver Spring, MD/Springbrook) broke a pool record and won three individual events for the Shorewomen in the loss. Her pool record came in the 200 freestyle as she posted a winning time of 1:55.66. She also won the 1000 freestyle in 10:54.47 and the 500 freestyle in 5:11.92.
Junior Jenna Moore (Catonsville, MD/Mount de Sales) posted a pair of first-place individual finishes for the Shorewomen, taking the 100 freestyle in 56.75 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:09.51. Freshman Hilary Badger (Baltimore, MD/Mount de Sales), Moore, sophomore Alix Batesko (Mountain Lakes, NJ/Mountain Lakes), and freshman Carly Ogren (Burke, VA/Lake Braddock) won the 200 medley relay in 1:54.45.
Badger added a second-place finish in the 50 freestyle in 25.62, while Ogren was second in the 100 freestyle in 56.86.
The Shorewomen return to action next Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. Centennial Conference home meet against McDaniel.
