Miskiel Wins 200 Breaststroke for Shorewomen

CARLISLE, PA -- Host Dickinson College recorded the top time in 10 of the 11 events in a 132-62 Centennial Conference women's swimming win over visiting Washington College this afternoon in Carlisle, PA.

Junior Ellie Miskiel (Gaithersburg, MD/Quince Orchard) recorded the Shorewomen's lone first-place finish in the loss, capturing the 200 breaststroke in 2:30.45. Freshman Julianna Fritzinger (Red Lion, PA/Red Lion Area) was second in the same event in 2:37.42. Sophomore Alicia Howard (Wilmington, DE/Charter School of Wilmington) added a second-place finish in the 200 backstroke in 2:21.11, while sophomore Ashley Maurizi (Reamstown, PA/Cocalico) placed second in the 500 freestyle in 5:40.17.

The Shorewomen (3-5, 1-3 Centennial) return to action Wednesday with a 6:00 p.m. Centennial Conference meet at Swarthmore.
