Miskiel Wins Pair of Individual Events for Shorewomen

CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Visiting McDaniel College defeated host Washington College, 117-79, in Centennial Conference women's swimming this afternoon inside Casey Swim Center.  The meet was the final dual meet of the season for both teams. 

Junior Ellie Miskiel (Gaithersburg, MD/Quince Orchard) led the Shorewomen with a pair of individual first-place finishes.  Miskiel won the 200 individual medley in a Washington College season-best time of 2:19.10 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:10.39.

Junior Carly Ogren (Burke, VA/Lake Braddock) was second in the 50 freestyle in 25.98 and in the 100 freestyle in 56.62. Sophomore Alicia Howard (Wilmington, DE/Charter School of Wilmington) added a second-place finish in the 100 backstroke in 1:05.50. 

The Shorewomen (3-8, 1-6 Centennial) return to action at the Centennial Conference Championships, to be hosted February 22nd-24th by Franklin & Marshall.
