Portmann Wins Pair of Individual Events for Shorewomen
GETTYSBURG, Pa. — Host Gettysburg College won 10 of 14 events en route to a 181-81 Centennial Conference women's swimming victory over visiting Washington College this afternoon.

How It Happened
- Julia Portmann won the 200 freestyle in 1:56.85 to become the Shorewomen's sixth-fastest swimmer ever in that event. She later won the 500 freestyle in 5:17.93 to become the Shorewomen's eighth-fastest swimmer ever in that event.
- Portmann led off the Shorewomen's winning 400 freestyle relay, which closed out the meet with a first-place time of 3:42.77. Katie Gorman, Mackenzie Gaze, and Jenni Clune joined her on that relay team.
- Ellen Maxwell won the 200 individual medley in 2:15.36 for the Shorewomen and added second-place finishes in the 1000 freestyle (11:20.43) and 200 backstroke (2:17.19).
- Gorman was second in the 100 freestyle in 56.16 and in the 100 butterfly in 1:03.43.
Notes
- The Shorewomen slipped to 0-2 overall and 0-2 in conference meets with the loss. The Bullets improved to 2-0 overall and 2-0 in conference meets with the win.
