York Gets Past Shorewomen, 108-97

Clune Takes Two Events for Shorewomen

YORK, Pa. — Host York College of Pennsylvania topped visiting Washington College, 108-97, in a non-conference women's swim meet tonight. The Spartans improved to 4-2 with the win, while the Shorewomen dropped to 3-4 with the loss.

Shorewomen Highlights
- Jenni Clune won the 200 individual medley in 2:17.95 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:08.62. She also swam the breaststroke leg of the winning 200 medley relay as Ellen Maxwell, Katie Gorman, and Anna Schmittle joined her for a top time of 1:53.99.
- Gorman won the 50 freestyle in 25.47 and placed second in the 100 freestyle in 55.58. Julia Portmann won the 1000 freestyle in 11:02.37 and took second in the 500 freestyle in 5:19.89. Maxwell won the 100 backstroke in 1:03.35 and was second in the 200 individual medley in 2:18.93.
- Angelia Tomasura finished second in the 100 butterfly in 1:05.51, while Maija Adourian placed second in the 100 backstroke in 1:04.93.

Notes
- This was the first meeting between the Shorewomen and Spartans since the 1989-90 season and only the third ever. It was York's first win in the all-time series.
