Seven Different Shorewomen Win Individual Events

CHESTERTOWN, Md. — The Washington College women's swim team continued its dominance over Eastern Shore rival Salisbury University with a 138-64 non-conference home dual meet win over the Sea Gulls tonight inside Casey Swim Center. It was the Shorewomen's 31st consecutive win over the Sea Gulls.

Shorewomen Highlights
- Seven different Shorewomen won individual events. Tricia Markey captured the 500 freestyle in 5:35.97 and also placed second in the 200 freestyle in 2:06.47. Allison Gallagher won the 400 individual medley (5:02.98), Julia Portmann the 200 freestyle (2:03.38), Jenni Clune the 50 freestyle (25.96), Katie Gorman the 100 butterfly (1:04.31), Lindsay Wiecki the 100 freestyle (57.46), and Alex Searles the 100 breaststroke (1:13.62).
- Maija Adourian, Searles, Wiecki, and Ana Reynoso-Zimmerer opened the meet by winning the 200 medley relay in 1:59.01. Portmann, Gorman, Markey, and Clune finished the meet by winning the 400 freestyle relay in 3:48.86.
- Adourian added a second-place finish in the 100 backstroke in 1:03.73, while Reynoso-Zimmerer was second in the 100 freestyle in 1:00.67. Anna Schmittle placed second in the 50 freestyle in 26.56, Emma Silber was second in the 100 butterfly in 1:06.20, and Bailey Reigel was second in the 500 freestyle in 5:38.71. 

Notes
- The Shorewomen are now 31-1 all-time against the Sea Gulls.
- The Shorewomen improved to 2-2 on the season with the win, while the Sea Gulls fell to 1-4 with the loss.
- Markey was named the Goose Nation TV Shorewomen Swimmer of the Meet.
