Swarthmore Swims Past Shorewomen, 191-69

Portmann Wins 500 Freestyle for Shorewomen in Loss

SWARTHMORE, Pa. — Host Swarthmore College placed first in 13 of 14 events en route to a 191-69 Centennial Conference women's swimming win over visiting Washington College today at Ware Pool.

Shorewomen Highlights
- Julia Portmann notched the Shorewomen's first-place finish, winning the 500 freestyle in 5:18.84. Portmann placed second in the 1000 freestyle in 11:11.50.
- Anna Schmittle was second in the 50 freestyle in 56.65 and the 100 freestyle in 58.07.
- Anna Hall took second in the 200 butterfly in 2:22.11.

Notes
- Swarthmore improved to 4-1 overall and 4-1 in conference meets with the win, while the Shorewomen dropped to 1-4 and 0-3 with the loss.
