Team Nets 12 First Place Finishes in 14 Events
BRYN MAWR, Pa. – The Washington College women's swim team competed in a tri-meet on Saturday morning at the Schwartz Fitness Center hosted by Bryn Mawr. In a Centennial Conference meet against Bryn Mawr, the Shorewomen won, 187-70, while against Albright in a non-conference meet, the Shorewomen came away with a 174-76 victory. Washington won 12 of the 14 events in the tri-meet.

Shorewomen Highlights
- Kristina Curley notched two first place finishes in the 500 and 1000 freestyle races. She tallied a time of 5:33.07 in the 500 and 11:15.78 in the 1000.
- Teresa Draves had the best time in two individual events, take first in the 200 breaststroke (2:33.82) and 200 individual medley (2:15.58). Draves took first against the Owls and second versus the Lions in the 100 breastroke in 1:11.84.
- Allison Gallagher won the 100 and 200 backstroke events winning the 100 in 1:04.50 and the 200 in 2:18.57.
- Anna Hall grabbed top time in the 100 butterfly (1:01.63) and 200 butterfly (2:18.26).
- Alexa Luecke captured the top spot in the 100 freestyle (56.92) and 200 freestyle (2:04.09).
- In the 200 freestyle relay the team of Luecke, Draves, Hall and Gallagher captured the event in 1:45.80 and in the 400 medley relay, the team of Gallagher, Emily Homer, Hall and Luecke garnered the win in 4:16.66. Washington went 1-2 in the 400 medley relay as the quartet of Savannah Quade, Alex Searles, Lindsay Wiecki and Lindsay Strauss placed second in 4:24.13.
- Strauss was first versus Bryn Mawr and second against Albright in the 50 freestyle (27.04).
- Alex May was second overall in the 200 individual medley (2:24.65).
Notes
- The Shorewomen are now 4-6 overall and 1-3 in the conference. The Lions are 3-4. The Owls are 5-5 overall and 0-5 in the Centennial.
- Bryn Mawr downed Albright 141-113 to complete the tri-meet.
