Draves Wins Two Events In Defeat Versus Dickinson On Senior Day

CHESTERTOWN, Md. – The Washington College women's swimming team put up some strong performances but were defeated by the Dickinson, 150-107, on Senior Day at the Casey Swim Center. Teresa Draves won a pair of events to lead the Shorewomen on the day.

Shorewomen Highlights
- Draves won the 200 breaststroke with an outstanding time of 2:31.82, the fastest effort this season for a Shorewomen in the event.  She bested her original top-time of 2:32.19.
- Draves also touched the wall first in the 200 individual medley, capturing first-place with a time of 2:16.12. She was also the runner-up in the 100 breaststroke (1:11.60), which was her second-best time of the campaign.
- Anna Hall won the 200 butterfly with an outstanding time of 2:15.99. She was also the runner-up in the 100 butterfly with an effort of 1:01.26.
- Kristina Curley turned in a pair of runner-up performances on the day. Curley recorded her fastest time ever in the 1000 freestyle, clocking in at 11:13.34.  She also took four points in the 500 freestyle after hitting the wall in 5:28.30, just a second off her season-best result.
- Alexa Luecke turned in the second-fastest time of the season in the 200 freestyle as she placed second in 2:01.36.
- Allison Gallagher was the runner-up in the 100 backstroke with a terrific time of 1:03.86, just shy of the first-place finisher. She also took second in the 200 backstroke (2:18.27), picking up four points.
- Alex May was the runner-up to Draves in the 200 individual medley after touching the wall in 2:22.36.
- Lindsay Strauss took third in the 50 freestyle (26.99).
- The 400 freestyle relay teams took all 17 points in the event.  Luecke,Hall, Draves and Gallagher clocked in at 3:49.74 to take first-place. The group of Curley, Lindsay Strauss, Savannah Quade and Lindsay Wiecki took second in 3:59.25.
- The 200 medley relay team of Gallagher, Hall, Luecke and Emily Homer placed second in 1:57.21.

Notes
- The Shorewomen are now 4-7 overall and 1-4 in the conference.  The Red Devils are 6-2 overall and 2-1 in the Centennial. 
- Draves was named the Goose Nation TV Shorewomen Swimmer of the Meet on the broadcast.
- Five seniors, Quade, Wiecki, Ana Reynoso-Zimmerer, Alex Searles, and student-assistant Bailey Reigel were honored prior to the meet.
