Chestertown, MD – Washington College's dominance in the "War on The Shore" continued on Saturday afternoon as the Shorewomen cruised against the Salisbury Sea Gulls, 196-64, at Casey Swim Center. The hosts improve to 2-3 while the visitors drop to 1-1.
The Shorewmen won 13 individual events and a pair of relays. Senior Teresa Draves and freshman Kylee Smith led the way with a pair of wins. Draves swept the 100 and 200 backstroke with times of 1:02.55 and 2:17.23 respectively. Smith took both the 50 and the 500 freestyle as she touch the wall in 25.92 and 5:26.00.
Freshman Ayana Davis (100 butterfly, 1:04.14), freshman Lilly Hartmann (100 freestyle, 56.92), sophomore Laurel Krause (1000 freestyle, 11:36.20), sophomore Emma Schultz (200 freestyle, 2:02.73), senior Emily Homer (200 breaststroke, 2:44.16), senior Alexa Luecke (100 breaststroke, 1:12.56), junior Kristina Curley (200 butterfly, 2:26.85), and senior Anna Hall (200 individual medley, 2:21.82).
The 200 medley relay team took the event with a time of 1:57.12. Draves, Homer, Curley and Hall led the Shorewomen to the victory.
The 200 free relay team, led by Schultz, Luecke, freshman Emily Iampieri, and Smith hit the wall first in 1:42.57.
Washington College will travel to McDaniel next weekend.
