Shorewomen Edged By Ursinus; Hall Enjoys Big Meet

Collegeville, Pa. – The Washington College women's swimming team returned to action with a tight, 146-115, defeat against the Ursinus Bears on Saturday afternoon.

Senior Anna Hall provided the highlight of the afternoon when she captured the 100 butterfly in a solid time of 1:00.93. Hall was also the runner-up in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:20.03.

Seniors Teresa Draves and Alexa Luecke turned in a pair of runner-up performance each. Draves was second in the 200 breaststroke (2:33.93) and the 200 individual medley (2:17.62). Luecke finished second in the 100 freestyle (56.36) and the 200 freestyle (2:02.64).

Runner-up performances were also turned in by junior Kristina Curley (1,000 freestyle, 11:24.92), freshman Lily Hartmann (100 backstroke, 1:03.80), sophomore Kennedy Jones (50 freestyle, 25.76), and freshman Emma Schultz (500 freestyle, 5:36.29).

The 400 free relay team also placed second with a time of 3:50.10. Schultz, sophomore Laurel Krause, freshman Kylee Smith, and Luecke comprised the group.

The Shorewomen will be back in action next Saturday when they host Franklin & Marshall on Senior Day. Only parents of the seniors will be permitted inside Casey Swim Center.
