CHESTERTOWN, Md. – The Washington College women's swimming team celebrated the accomplishments of five seniors during their 186-75 defeat versus Franklin & Marshall, on Saturday afternoon at Casey Swim Center.
The highlight of the meet came in the 200 freestyle as freshman Emily Iampieri captured the event with a time of 2:00.62, her second-fastest time of the season.
The Shorewomen recorded three individual runner-up performances to add to their accomplishments. Senior Teresa Draves (200 butterfly, 2:20.11), sophomore Anna Miller (50 freestyle, 26.16), and freshman Kylee Smith (200 individual medley, 2:21.05).
The 400 free relay team also finished second with a time of 3:48.19. Draves, freshman Lilly Hartmann, sophomore Kennedy Jones and sophomore Laurel Krause comprised the unit.
Third-place performances were turned in by sophomore Emma Schultz (100 freestyle, 57.92, and 1000 freestyle, 11:34.29, 2nd-fastest time by a Shorewoman this season), sophomore Kenley Hewitt (100 backstroke, 1:05.66), Hartmann (100 breaststroke, 1:13.96), senior Alexa Luecke (50 freeestyle, 26.18, 100 butterfly, 1:03.39), Miller (200 breaststroke, 2:43.55), senior Anna Hall (200 individual medley, 2:21.07) and Draves (500 freestyle, 5:29.40).
