Sophomore swimmer
Emily Iampieri (Forest Hill, Md./North Harford) is this week's Shorewoman of the Week. Iampieri won one event and finished second in two events and is now in the the program's top 10 in three different events in addition to being a part of two winning relay teams.
She won the 100-yard freestyle (53.26) and was second in the 50 freestyle (24.85) and 200 freestyle (1:56.96). The sophomore is now fourth all-time in program history in the 100 freestyle and seventh all-time in the 50 and 200 freestyles. In the relays, in the 400-yard freestyle relay, she teamed up with
Emma Schultz,
Kylee Smith and
Kennedy Jones to win the relay in 3:37.39 and in the 800 freestyle relay, she was joined by Smith, Schultz and
Lauren Paules to capture the event in 7:57:54.
This is Iampieri's third career Shorewoman of the Week honor.
