Bears Fend Off Shorewomen, 136-121

Smith Wins Two Events While Iampieri and Paules Capture One Event

CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting Ursinus spoiled the home finale of Washington College, 136-121, in a Centennial Conference women's swimming action on Saturday afternoon at the Casey Swim Center.

Shorewomen Highlights
- Kylee Smith won two events for the Shorewomen on the day as she captured the 100 butterfly (1:00.66) and the 200 butterfly (2:16.02).
- Emily Iampieri took first place in the 50 freestyle in 25.36.
- Lauren Paules grabbed top spot in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:25.91.
- The 400 freestyle relay team of Smith, Kennedy Jones, Emma Schultz and Iampieri captured the relay in 3:41.23.

Notes
- The Bears improve to 6-3 overall and 3-3 in the Centennial, while the Shorewomen are now 3-5 on the season and improve to 2-4 in the conference.
- Smith was named the Goose Nation TV Shorewoman Swimmer of the Meet.
- The team honored its two seniors, Kristina Curleyand Alex May, prior to the meet as the duo were competing in their final home meet today.
