Smith Sets Pool Record in 100 Butterfly in Setback to Salisbury

Sea Gulls Come Away with 181-79 Win over Shorewomen

CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Junior Kylee Smith (Avon, Colo./Vail Ski and Snowboard Academy) set the Casey Swim Center pool record in the 100-yard butterfly for host Washington College, but visiting Salisbury came away with a 181-79 win on Saturday afternoon in a non-conference swim meet.  The Sea Gulls won 10 of 14 events in the meet.

Shorewomen Highlights
- Smith, who won three events on the day, set the pool record in the 100 butterfly with a time of 58.66, .01 better than the previous record holder, Rachel Glasser '11.  Smith also grabbed wins in the 100 freestyle (54.30) and 200 butterfly (2:14.26).
- The 400 freestyle relay squad of Smith, Emma Schultz, Lauren Paules and Abby Adams won the event with a time of 3:45.71.
- Schultz was second in the 200 freestyle (2:02.69).

Notes
- The Sea Gulls are now 3-0 overall, while Shorewomen are 1-5 overall.
