#8 Eagles Top Shoremen, 9-0

ATLANTA, Ga. – Host #8 Emory topped visiting Washington College, 9-0, on Saturday afternoon at the Woodruff P.E. Center Outdoor Tennis Courts in a non-conference men's tennis match.  It was the Shoremen's final match on their spring break trip.

Doubles
- The Eagles swept doubles to lead 3-0.  Andrew Esses and Sam Dean gave Emory a 1-0 lead with an 8-1 win over Christian Gruyon and Ryohei Kawai at second doubles.  Nolan Shah and Dean Kamenev topped the Shoremen's Aaradith Ravichandran and Brady Burns, 8-2, at No. 3.  Ryan Glanville and Charlie James completed the sweep for the hosts in an 8-5 victory at the top spot over Landon Strober and Andre-Remi Jakobi.
Singles
- James gave Emory a 4-0 lead with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Gruyon at No. 4.
- Emilio Van Cottham clinched the win for the Eagles with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Kohl Perkins at No. 5 singles.
- Glanville edged Ravichandran at No. 6 in the next match to finish, 6-3, 4-6, 1-0.
- Kamenev bested Kawai, 7-5, 6-1 at No. 3 in the fourth match to conclude.
- Esses swept Strober, 6-1, 6-1, at the top spot in the second to last match to end.
- Shah completed the shutout win for Emory with a 3-6, 6-3, 1-0 victory over Jakobi at No. 2.

Notes
- Emory, ranked first in the Atlantic South Region, is 11-2 on the season, while Washington drops to 1-5.
