CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting #20 Swarthmore came away with a 9-0 win over host Washington College on Tuesday afternoon at Schottland Tennis Center in Centennial Conference women's tennis action.

Doubles
- The Garnet won all three matches in doubles to take a 3-0 lead.
- In second doubles, Swarthmore's tandem of
Lola Diaz and
Daniela Padron-Castillo topped
Isabella Sorhegui and
Katie Ruppert, 8-1, in the first match to finish.
- The Garnet's
Erica Stutz and
Kathleen Shiffer captured an 8-1 win over Washington's
María Cristina Diaz Nazario and
Bin Nguyen at No. 1.
- Swarthmore completed the sweep in doubles as
Lara Geib and
Riya Rao held off
Piper Sartison and
Soleil Namunyola, 8-5, in third doubles.
Singles
- Shiffer won the first singles match to conclude at No. 2 over Namunyola, 6-1, 6-2.
- Diaz clinched the win for Swarthmore at No. 4 with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Nguyen.
- In the next match to finish,
Danila Padron-Castillo downed
Eva Kading, 6-1, 6-3 at No. 3 singles.
- At the top flight, Stutz topped Sartison 6-2 in the first set before holding on for a 7-5 win in the second.

Ruthie Njagi came away with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Sorhegui at No. 6 in the second to final match to conclude.
- The Garnet's
Anna Miller bested Ruppert 6-4, 6-3 in the last match to finish on the afternoon.

- the Garnet, ranked seventh in the Atlantic South Region, is 9-1 on the season and 3-0 in the conference, while the Shorewomen are 3-6 on the season and 1-2 in the Centennial. Washington is ranked 14th in the region.
