CARLISLE, Pa. - Visiting Washington College secured its fourth road victory of the season in an 6-3 win over Dickinson on Sunday afternoon in Centennial Conference action at Hays Tennis Courts. With the win, the Shorewomen secured a spot in the 2023 Centennial Conference Tournament for the second consecutive year and 13th time.

Doubles
- Washington College cashed in on all three doubles matches on the day.
Katie Ruppert and
Isabella Sorhegui took No. 3 doubles in an 8-3 victory over
Anabelle Armenderez and
Dana Kleinman. In No.1 doubles, Washington's
Eva Kading and
Maria Christina Diaz-Nazario bested Dickinson's tandem of
Izzy Desjardins and
Martine Fierro in an 8-4 victory.
Soleil Namunyola and
Piper Sartison were able to stave off a comeback attempt from
Ari Goitz and
Alisa Steele, winning 8-6 to complete the sweep.
Singles
- The Shorewomen would drop the top three singles as Dickinson's Fierro would nab 6-1, 6-2 victories in the top flight over Namunyola. Goitz would take a 7-6, 6-3 pair of wins in the No. 2 slot versus
Eva Kading, while Steele would wrap up a pair of 6-3 victories for the Red Devils against Sartison. Â
- WC's
Bin Nguyen bested Desjardins with a 6-3, 6-4 pair of victories to take the No. 4 contest.
- Ruppert would seal the day for the Shorewomen with a 6-0 shutout in the first set, followed by a 6-1 showing in the second set in the No. 5 contest over Armenderez.
- Sorhegui closed the afternoon with a victory at the No. 6 spot, emerging with 6-4, 6-1 victories versus
Molly Michel.
Notes
- The Shorewomen are now 6-7 overall and 4-3 in the Centennial, while the Red Devils are now 5-9 and 1-6 respectively. Washington is ranked 14th in the Atlantic South Region.
