Nathan Rawa - Shoreman of the Week

Sophomore men's swimmer Nathan Rawa (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) is this week's Shoreman of the Week. Rawa had the highest finish for a Shoremen this weekend at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational and entered the program's all-time top 10 in the 50-yard freestyle.

Rawa highlighted the Shoremen's performance this weekend at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational, scoring points in two individual events and four relays. On Saturday, he was third in the 100-yard backstroke (51.10) and sixth in the 100 butterfly (50.93).  He improved on his fourth fastest time in program history in the 100 backstroke by .06. On Sunday, the sophomore was fourth in the 200 backstroke (1:53.97).  In relays, he was part of four that scored points for WC. In the 200-yard freestyle relay, he teamed with William Schmidt, Mike Lee and Chase Hensen to finish in ninth place in 1:25.93 on Friday night. In the relay Rawa became the eighth fastest Shoreman Swimmer in the 50 freestyle with a leadoff time of 21.36. Also on Friday night, the 400 medley relay quartet of Rawa, Hensen, Justin Fitzpatrick and James Hackett took sixth with a time of 3:27.34. On Saturday evening, in the 200 medley relay with a eighth place result from Rawa, Hensen, Fitzpatrick and Schmidt (1:34.29). On Sunday night in the 400 freestyle relay, the foursome of Rawa, Schmidt, Hensen and Hackett were 11th (3:12.16).

This is Rawa's second career Shoreman of the Week honor.
