Shorewomen Take Care of Mules, 8-1

Sorhegui Clinches the Win at Four Singles

CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Host Washington College dispatched of visiting Muhlenberg, 8-1, on Saturday afternoon at Schottland Tennis Center in Centennial Conference women's tennis action.

Doubles
- WC's Carrie Lord and María Cristina Diaz Nazario won the first doubles match to conclude at No. 3, blanking Mules' Taylor Current and Jordyn Brown, 8-0. 
- The Shorewomen's tandem of Piper Sartison and Isabella Sorhegui won at No. 2 doubles in the next match to come to a close, 8-2, over Muhlenberg's Caitlin Bestrycki and Alexandra Downey.
- Washington's No. 1 doubles team of Soleil Namunyola and Eva Kading topped Muhlenberg's duo of Sophia Framm and Kety Gaidamashvili, 8-2, in the last doubles contest to end.

Singles
- Current got Muhlenberg's lone win at No. 6 singles due to WC not fielding a player.
- Sartison put WC on the cusp of victory with a win at No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-0, over Bestrycki.
- Sorhegui secured the win for the Shorewomen in a 6-1, 6-1 triumph versus Downey at No. 4.
- Kading got the job done over Gaidamashvili at the top spot, 6-2, 6-0.
- Namunyola handled Framm, 6-4, 6-0, at the second flight.
- Lord registered her second win of the day at No. 5 singles, 6-0, 6-2 over Brown.

Notes
- The Shorewomen are 3-8 on the season, while the Mules are 4-7.  WC is now 2-1 in the conference, while Muhlenberg is 0-4 in the Centennial.
