NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Washington College men's tennis team competed this weekend at the CNU Invite on the James T. & Sarah C. Eyre Courts hosted by Christopher Newport to open its fall season. The Shoremen competed against Averett, host Christopher Newport, Salisbury, Shenandoah and Virginia Wesleyan.

Julian Sealy went 3-0
and
Aaradith Ravichandran went 2-1 to highlight the Shoremen's performance in singles. Sealy in his WC debut topped an opponent from Virginia Wesleyan, 6-2, 6-4, earned a 6-3, 3-6, 1-0 (10-7) result versus Averett and a 4-6, 6-1, 1-0 (14-12) triumph against Virginia Wesleyan. Ravichandran won 7-5, 6-3 against Salisbury and a 7-6 (7-3), 6-7 (5-7), 1-0 (12-10) victory versus Averett.

Jorge Urgal Zuleta netted a pair wins to go 2-1 on the weekend. The tandem picked up an 8-4 victory over a duo from Salisbury and recorded a 8-3 win against a tandem from Virginia Wesleyan.
