GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Washington College women's swim team opened its 2025-26 season this afternoon at Bullets Pool in Gettysburg in a Centennial Conference five-team meet. The Shorewomen topped Bryn Mawr, 150-102, and McDaniel, 183-62, while falling to Johns Hopkins (215-39) and host Gettysburg (212-42).Â

Shorewomen Highlights

Lauren Paules had the Shorewomen's highest finish with a fourth-place finish in the 1000-yard freestyle in 11:27.32.

Kenzie Gorman earned a sixth place finish with a mark of 1:02.42 in the 100 backstroke.

Vanessa Fry captured sixth in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:11.67.

Brooke Bailey netted sixth in the 200 backstroke in 2:14.84.

- The Shorewomen are 2-2 overall and in the Centennial. The Blue Jays are 4-0 overall and 4-0 in the Centennial, the Bullets are 3-1 overall and 3-1 in the Centennial, the Owls are 1-3 and 1-3 respectively and the Green Terror are 0-4 and 0-4 respectively. In the other results of the quin meet, Johns Hopkins bested Bryn Mawr (215-41), Gettysburg (150.5-105.5) and McDaniel (215-40), Gettysburg topped Bryn Mawr (215-41) and McDaniel (215-40) and Bryn Mawr bested McDaniel (199-54).
