Brooke Bailey - Shorewoman of the Week

Freshman women's swimmer Brooke Bailey (Midlothian, Va./Trinity Episcopal Academy) is this week's Shorewoman of the Week. Bailey set a pair of Shorewomen Swimming records at the 2025 Centennial Conference Championships this past Thursday-Sunday at Franklin & Marshall.

Bailey set the school record in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:08.65 and earned a 10th place finish in the event on Friday night. Bailey broke the mark previously held by Jenni Clune '18, who had a time of 2:09.90 in 2017. On Saturday, Bailey won the B Final for a ninth place result in the 100 backstroke with a time of 58.78 to set the school record which was previously held by Ellen Maxwell '17 who had a time of 59.62. Bailey netted her best overall finish of the weekend on Sunday night in the 200 butterfly of fifth place, touching the pad in 2:08.89 which puts her third all-time at Washington in the event. The freshman was also part of four of the team's top relays including a leadoff time of 53.81 in the 400 freestyle relay that places her ninth all-time in the 100 freestyle on Sunday night.

This is Bailey's third career Shorewoman of the Week honor.
