CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Host Washington College topped visiting Catholic 6-1 at the Schottland Tennis Center on Friday afternoon in non-conference women's tennis action.

Doubles
- The Shorewomen won two of three in doubles to register the doubles point. Third doubles finished first and it was Washington's
Isabella Sorhegui and
Jayda Browne taking home a 6-3 win for the Shorewomen. The duo of
Sofia Sperandei and
Carrie Lord clinched doubles for the home side in a 6-3 win at No. 2. First doubles was the last to finish and it went to the Cardinals in a 7-6 (7-3) result over
Soleil Namunyola and
Eva Kading.
Singles
- Sixth singles was the first match to finish as it was played during doubles with WC's
Gaby Coutts taking the match, 6-1, 6-2.
- Sorhegui gave the home side a 3-0 lead with a 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 3 singles.
- Kading notched the victory for the Shorewomen at No. 2 in a 7-5, 6-0 triumph.
- Browne came away with a 6-4, 6-2 victory at No. 4 to make it 5-0 for the Shorewomen.
- Namunyola recovered from a 6-4 loss in the opening set to win the next two sets and the match, 6-4 and 1-0 (10-3).
- Catholic got its lone point of the match at fifth singles in a 6-3, 3-6, 1-0 (10-8) win versus Sperandei.
Notes
- The Shorewomen are 3-4 on the season, while the Cardinals drop to 9-4.
- All three of Washington's win have come against Landmark Conference teams – Catholic, Drew and Goucher.
