CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Two Washington College men's rowers have earned All-Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference (MARC) honors. Senior
Nick Gardner (Orlando, Fla./home school) was named to the second team and freshman
Lawrence Haleski (Newark, Del./ Liceo Naval Almirante Guise [Peru]) was selected All-Novice.
Gardner was named All-MARC for the first time.
Shoremen Rowing has had 32 All-MARC selections and 16 All-Novice picks since the start of the conference in 2008-09.
Gardner was also named to the MARC All-Academic Team and was joined by senior
Patrick Beene (Burke, Va./Lake Braddock), sophomore
Robby Donnelly (Arnold, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase), senior
Andrew Ellestad (Damascus, Md./Damascus), senior
Noah Gentry (Edgewood, Md./Edgewood) and sophomore
Kit Yim (Yardley, Pa./Doane Academy [N.J.]). To be named to the All-Academic Team, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5, be at least in their second year of eligibility and competed in 75% of varsity competitions or competed in the MARC Championships.
