Fleetwood, PA – The Washington College Golf Team records highest team score in program history with a fourth-place finish at the Ursinus Invitational.
How It Happened
Round 1:
- The Shoremen were led by R.P. Johnson on day one of the Ursinus Invitational. Johnson recorded a round score of 75, five over par. A birdie on hole three and 11 pars fueled Johnson.
- Matt Young recorded a round one score of 77, shooting seven over.
Round 2:
- Myatt led the charge for the Shoremen in round two, ending his round four over for a 74 on the day. Myatt earned two birdies on the day, a 2 on hole three and a 3 on hole 16.
- Jonathan Stumpff followed shooting eight over for a score of 78 on the day. Young finished 13 over and recorded a final round score of 83.
- Myatt and Johnson ended the day tied for 17th place and Stumpff and Young followed each tying for 20th place.
The team earned a total score of 638, a combined score of 78 over par. The Shoremen finished in fourth behind Stevens, Lancaster Bible, and Elizabethtown. They outshot two conference opponents in Ursinus and Muhlenberg.
