FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Washington College men's tennis team competed this weekend at the University of Mary Washington Kickoff Classic at the Hegmann Family Tennis Courts to open its fall season. The Shoremen competed against host Mary Washington, Division I programs George Mason and Longwood, and Johns Hopkins.

Tichi Chialva won both of his matches defeating opponents from Mary Washington 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-3) and Johns Hopkins 6-4, 6-4.
Doubles

Petter Storberg and
Jorge Urgal Zuleta went 3-0 in doubles, topping foes from Johns Hopkins, 6-4, Johns Hopkins, 7-6 (7-5), and Mary Washington, 6-2.

Kohl Perkins and
Oskar Wroblewski went 2-0, getting past tandems from Mary Washington, 6-2, and Longwood, 7-6 (7-4).
