Carlisle, PA – The Washington College Golf Team opened up their 2025-26 season in Carlisle at the Dickinson Invitational. The team finished two spots better than last season, finishing 16th of 21 in the team competition.
How It Happened
Round 1:
- The team finished 29 over in round one and sat in 19th place after the first round.
- Johnathan Stumpff led the Shoremen after day one, finishing the round three over with three birdies. Mason Myatt and Matt Young followed at eight over.
Round 2:
- The Shoremen finished round two with a nine-stroke improvement shooting a total of 20 over par.
- Stumpff finished the round three over once again moving his total score to six under on the weekend. He finished round one with birdies on holes nine and ten. Myatt finished round two three over as well with a round score of 75. He added in three birdies on the round. Young finished day two shooting six over moving his total score to eight over.

The Shoremen will travel to Fleetwood, PA September 14-15 to compete in the Ursinus Invitational.
