Carlisle, PA – The Washington College Golf team opened up Spring Competition at the Dickinson Invitational. They finished 15th of 16 teams. Matt Young had the best finish for the Shoremen with a tie for 56th place and an overall score of 162.  

How It Happened 
Dickinson Invitational 
Round 1:  

• The Shoremen finished round one sitting in 15th place, one point over Lebanon Valley.  
• Johnathan Stumpff led the Shoremen at eight over, finishing round one shooting 80. Matt Young sat tied for 66 with a score of 81, nine over. R.P. Johnson was tied for 72nd with a round one score of 82, ten over. Mason Myatt ended the day with an 84, 12 over. Teddy Howard finished round one with a score of 90, shooting 18 over.  

Round 2: 

• The Shoremen ended Round Two and Invitational in 15th place with a total team score of 669, two points ahead of Wilson.  
• The highest finish for Washington College was Young who matched his round one score with a score of 81 on round two. He ended the day tied for 56th place. Howard, who also finished with an 81, bested his round one score by nine points and ended the Invitational tied fir 75th place with Johnson and Stumpff. Johnson shot an 89 on day two and Stumpff a 91. Myatt finished the round with a score of 91 putting him in 81st place.

The Shoremen will travel to the McDaniel Spring Invitational on March 28th-29th in Abbotstown, PA. They will play at the Bridges Golf Course.
