CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting Swarthmore used a big second half to come away with a 17-9 win over host Washington College in a Centennial Conference women's lacrosse game on Saturday afternoon on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium. The Garnet is now 8-2 overall and 1-1 in the Centennial, while Shorewomen slip to 7-3 and 1-1 respectively.Â

Lis Braswell gave the Shorewomen an early 3-0 lead with 3:47 to go in the first quarter. After Swarthmore got one back 56 seconds later, Washington's
Anna Wilson and
Mac Grogan scored 35 ticks apart to put the home side ahead 5-1 after one.
- Leading 6-3, the Shorewomen took an 8-3 advantage with 7:57 left in the second quarter on a
Piper Evans tally. The Garnet got one back with 22 seconds to go to cut the deficit to 8-4 at break.
- In the third, Swarthmore scored all six goals to lead 10-8 after 45 minutes. The road side tied it with 9:39 remaining in the third, 8-8, and took the lead for good with 6:23 left at 9-8. The Garnet pushed its lead to two with 55 seconds to go to cap the scoring in the stanza.
- Swarthmore scored the first six goals of the fourth to take a 16-8 lead with 7:18 to go to cap the 13-goal run.
- Grogan ended the run with 6:20 left on an unassisted score before Swarthmore tacked on the final tally with 2:09 left.

- Anson recorded her 250th career draw with 2:51 to go in the first quarter and now sits at 256.
