SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Host #7 Swarthmore got past #56 Washington College, 4-0, on Friday afternoon at Falkner Courts in the semifinal round of the Centennial Conference Men's Tennis Tournament. The Garnet is the tournament's top seed, while the Shoremen are the fourth seed.

Doubles
- The Garnet claimed the doubles point by winning at second and third doubles. Second doubles finished first as Swarthmore won 6-3 over
Petter Storberg and
Demir Isiker and the home side took the doubles point at third doubles in a 6-2 result against
Oskar Wroblewski and
Kohl Perkins. First doubles was abandoned since the Garnet had clinched doubles with Washington's duo of
Maxi Synnestvedt and
Tichi Chialva leading 5-2 over Swarthmore's top tandem of
Purushotham Koduri and
Michael Melnikov, ranked 21st nationally and fifth in the Atlantic South Region
Singles
- At the top spot, Melnikov, ranked second nationally and first in the Atlantic South Region, gave Swarthmore a 2-0 lead with a 6-4, 6-0 result against Chialva.
- The Garnet took a 3-0 lead with a 6-2, 6-1 decision versus Wroblewski at six singles.
- No. Â 5 singles was the clincher for Swarthmore with scores of 6-1, 6-1 versus Storberg.
- Second, third and fourth singles were abandoned due to playing to decision. Second singles was an 6-4, 3-2 lead for the Garnet's
Max Lindstrom, ranked 37th nationally and sixth regionally, against Synnestvedt. Third singles had Swarthmore's
Rishi Verma, 13th regionally, ahead 6-3, 1-0 playing Perkins. Fourth singles had the Garnet up, 6-4, 3-0, when the match ended versus Isiker. Â
