CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Three Washington College women's rowers have landed All-Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference (MARC) honors. Senior
Kyaran Balin-Brooks (Rockville, Md./Walter Johnson) gained a spot the first team, senior
Maura Collins (St. Louis, Mo./Parkway West) was a second team honoree and freshman
Elizabeth Clayton (Middletown, Conn./Middletown) procured All-Novice recognition.
Collins is a two-time All-MARC second team selection and was All-Novice in 2023, while Balin-Brooks is a first-time pick.
Shorewomen Rowing has had 38 All-MARC selections and 17 All-Novice picks since the start of the conference in 2008-09.
Collins was also named to the MARC All-Academic Team and was joined by senior
Heather Lamont (Woodbridge, Va./Woodbridge), juniors
Katherine McMenemy (Barre, Mass./Quabbin Regional) and
Kelsey Sanderell (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) and sophomores
Meredith Bedell (Deerfield, Mass./Tabor Academy),
Amanda Campino (Dover, Del./Caesar Rodney),
Mariana Kilmon (Newark, Del./Cab Calloway School of the Arts) and
Amelia Watson (New Hope, Pa./Solebury School). To be named to the All-Academic Team, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5, be at least in their second year of eligibility and competed in 75% of varsity competitions or competed in the MARC Championships.
