All students must pass a brief swim test at the Casey Swim
Center before they may check out sail boats or kayaks at the
Lelia Hynson Boating Park. All members of the varsity rowing or
sailing teams must also pass this test. Staff at the swim center
will administer the test, and sign a completion form. Return
this form to the boathouse where it will be kept on file. Give
the Waterfront Director any newly completed swim test forms so they
may be recorded in the database, and added to the printed list.
The test requires each individual to swim eight lengths of the
25-yard pool and tread water for five minutes. Tests will only be
administered during open swim times.
