Clay Allen

Clay Allen was hired as assistant men's and women's tennis coach at Washington College during the summer of 2017. Prior to coming to Chestertown, he mad most recently served as the head boys tennis coach at Oak Hill (Va.) Academy from 2015-17. 

Allen played four years of collegiate tennis at Colby-Sawyer, graduating with the fifth-most singles wins in team history and playing for three NCAA Division III Tournament teams (2013, 2014, 2015). He was named his team's MVP as a senior and twice earned All-North Athletic Conference (NAC) honors in singles, landing on the first team in 2013 and the second team in 2012. He was also a member of Colby-Sawyer's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for three years.

Allen's previous experience also includes time as a tennis instructor at Storrs Pond Tennis Facility in Hanover, N.H., and he has a coaching certification from the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS). 

Allen earned a B.S. in Media Studies/Communications from Colby-Sawyer in 2015.
