Marcus currently works with the Field Hockey, Men's Basketball, Softball, Women's Rowing, and Men's Tennis teams at Washington College.
Originally from Shanghai, China, Siqi “Marcus” Hong is entering his second year as the Assistant Athletic Trainer at Washington College.
After completing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Athletic Training from Boston University in 2018, Marcus attended the University of South Carolina for a Master of Science Degree in Advanced Athletic Training. He provided care as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for Benedict College and the Campus Recreation Department at the University of South Carolina. Post graduation in 2020, Marcus joined Newberry College to provide care for its Women’s Basketball and Women’s Lacrosse programs as an Athletic Training Intern.
Prior to arriving at Washington College, Marcus returned to Boston University to complete a Master of Education Degree in Applied Human Development. During that time, he worked as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer providing care for the school’s club sport programs. He was the primary care coordinator for the club men’s and women’s ice hockey teams.
Marcus is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and the Maryland Athletic Trainers Association.
In his free time, Marcus not only collects and builds plastic model kits, but also enjoys sim racing games such as Gran Turismo.
