Maddie Mullen

Maddie Mullen was hired as an assistant sports performance coach and an assistant women's lacrosse coach at Washington College during the summer of 2017.

Mullen joined the sports performance staff after serving as a student intern in the second semester of her senior year this past spring.  During the internship she ran team warm ups, observed training sessions, and inputted performance testing data.  She also took the Certified Personal Trainer Course through the college's physical education office, which is affiliated with the National Academy of Sports Medicine.  She is now a certified personal trainer, and is working towards her certification as a strength and conditioning specialist as well as a United States Olympic Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach. 

Mullen joined the coaching staff of the women's lacrosse team after a four-year playing career.  In her four seasons with the team, she made 141 saves in 33 career games.  As a junior in 2016, she had a career-best 15 saves in a win over Lynchburg and stopped a career-high 96 shots for the season.  Mullen also earned Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors on March 28, 2016. 

Mullen earned a B.A. in Anthropology from the College in May 2017.
