Colleen Ryan

Colleen Ryan begins her second stint as an assistant women's rowing coach at Washington College in January 2022. During her first stint, 2017-19, Ryan helped the Shorewomen win two MARC Championships and a spot in a pair of NCAA Championships.

She arrived at Washington College as the assistant men's rowing coach at Washington College in August 2017 before becoming an assistant women's rowing coach in November 2017. Ryan is a former Division I rower with experience coaching at the club level.

Ryan was a four-year member of the women's rowing team at Indiana University, serving as a team captain as a senior. She later went on to row for the Annapolis Rowing Club’s Masters Women’s Team from 2014 to 2016. After she stopped competing for the Annapolis Rowing Club, she served as an assistant novice coach for the club in 2017. 

Ryan spent eight years as a Customer Relations Manager for Jim Koons Automotive Companies in Maryland and another two as a Location Manager for About Faces Day Spa and Salon in Annapolis.

A 2007 graduate of Indiana with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, she went on to earn a Master's in the same field from Saint Joseph's (Pa.) in 2011. She was inducted into the Alpha Phi Sigma Criminal Justice Honor Society and the Alpha Lambda Epsilon Graduate Honor Society while at Saint Joseph's.
