Drew Hoffman

Drew Hoffman was named the 10th head coach inWashington College men's soccer history in the summer of 2006.Hoffman came to Washington from the United States MilitaryAcademy (Army), where he had served as the top assistant coachon the men's soccer staff since 2000. In his first season atWashington, Hoffman guided the team to an 8-8 record,doubling the Shoremen's win total from the previous season. In2008, he led the Shoremen to a pair of historic victories -their first-ever win over Muhlenberg and an upset ofnationally-ranked Johns Hopkins.

At Army, Hoffman was heavily involved with the BlackKnights' nationwide recruiting and designed and implementedteam and individual technical, tactical, and fitness trainingsessions. He was also responsible for scouting and gameplanning and served as the Assistant Director of the ArmySoccer Camp.

Hoffman got his start in college coaching at his almamater, West Chester University. Hoffman served as an assistantmen's soccer coach at West Chester from 1996 until 1999, whenhe was named the school's interim women's soccer coach. Ashead women's coach, he guided the Golden Rams to theirfirst-ever national ranking and first-ever appearance inthe Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference championshipgame.

Hoffman has also coached in the Maryland, Delaware,Eastern New York, and Eastern Pennsylvania Olympic DevelopmentPrograms (ODP). While working with the Eastern PennsylvaniaODP, he was the assistant head coach of an Under-15 boys teamthat qualified for the national semifinals.

As a player at West Chester, Hoffman had anoutstanding four-year career and helped lead the Golden Ramsto a school-record 14 wins in 1994 and the ECACSemifinals.

Hoffman graduated from West Chester in 1997 with aB.A. in Social Work and went on to earn an M.S. in EducationalCounseling and College Student Development from C.W. Post in2002.

Hoffman holds a National "A" License from the USSoccer Federation Coaches Association and a Premier Diplomafrom the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. He iscurrently working with Maryland State Youth Soccer AssociationCoaching Education and the Freestate Soccer Alliance. He isalso an instructor for the National Soccer Coaches Association ofAmerica.

Hoffman works at the Elite 300 Soccer Camp everysummer and is the owner and operator of the Shore SoccerSchool (S3), which will be holding camps and clinics onMaryland's Eastern Shore.
