Washington College

Gillian Hanson was named assistant women's lacrosse coach in August 2024.  

In her first season with the Shorewomen, the team set the mark for goals in a single game with a 25 in a victory over visiting McDaniel on April 5. The team had three players land All-Centennial honors. 
 
Hanson coached at Manhattanville University during the 2023 and 2024 seasons, while earning a master's degree in Sports Business and Entertainment Management. While coaching, she helped the Valiants achieve the most wins in program history in 2023. During her tenure in Purchase, N.Y., she coached multiple All-Skyline Conference, All-ECAC and All-IWLCA Academic Team Athletes.  
 
Hanson played lacrosse at Ithaca College from 2018-2022 and graduated with a degree in Environmental Studies and a minor in education.  
 
Hanson is a three-time NCAA Tournament Participant and made it to the Elite Eight in 2021. In 2022, her team made it to the Sweet Sixteen of the Tournament and recorded the most wins in program history.
