Lauren Shaw

An NCAA Division II National Champion, Lauren Shaw joined the Shorewomen's coaching staff during the summer of 2009. Shaw was a four-year rower at Nova Southeastern University in Florida.

During her time as an assistant coach at Washington College, the team has won 10 Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference (MARC) crowns and gone to the NCAA Championships on nine occasions.

Shaw's outstanding collegiate rowing career concluded at the 2009 NCAA Division II Championships, where she rowed for the Sharks' National Championship-winning varsity four. It was Shaw's third appearance at NCAA's as she was a member of the third-place varsity four at the 2008 championships and a member of the fourth-place varsity four at the 2006 championships.

A 2009 All-Sunshine State Conference (SSC) selection, Shaw rowed for back-to-back SSC Championship-winning varsity fours and was a member of three SSC Overall Points Championship teams. She also helped Nova Southeastern to its first-ever FIRA Team Championship as a senior.

In addition to her success on the water, Shaw was an outstanding student at Nova Southeastern and was named a 2008 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Scholar-Athlete. She earned a degree in Education from the school in 2009.Â
