Sophie Westfield was a four-year member of the women’s rowing team at Ithaca College. She earned her B.S. in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, with a dual minor in Education Studies and the Honors Program, at Ithaca College. Following her graduation from IC in 2019, she worked as an assistant rowing coach for the Learn to Row program as well as the Masters’ Summer Rowing League at Three Rivers Rowing Association in Pittsburgh, PA. Westfield worked as an assistant coach with the Modified program at the Niskayuna Rowing Club from 2019-2021 while pursuing her master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY. The programs she has worked with focused on building the athletes’ skills for on-the-water as well as indoor rowing, while also providing them with the foundation to continue with the sport competitively or recreationally. She is currently a pediatric speech-language pathologist in Annapolis, Maryland.
