Scott Renauro joined the Washington College baseball staff as an assistant coach in September 2014. He also works in the College's Center for Career Development.
No stranger to the Centennial Conference, Renauro spent the prior two seasons at league rival Swarthmore College as an assistant coach. There, he developed and trained the team's hitters and infielders and served as the third base coach. With Renauro on staff, the Garnet won 22 games in 2013, their most in 27 years, and had student-athletes earn All-Centennial Conference honors seven times.
A four-year starter in the middle infield, Renauro played collegiate baseball at Eastern University. He twice earned All-Conference honors, leading the Eagles to the program's winningest season as a sophomore and earning recognition as Eastern's top male student-athlete in the process. He hit .415 with an on-base percentage over .600 that season and finished his career with multiple single-season and career school records.
Renauro's coaching experience also includes a stint as the head coach of the 13- and 14-year old Nether Providence Legion Program in Pennsylvania, guiding that program to its first-ever State Championship in any age group. He also directed more than 10 camps and clinics at Swarthmore and has instructed at a number of other college recruiting and instructional camps.
Renauro earned his B.A. in Marketing and Management from Eastern in 2012. He resides in Dover, Del., with his wife, Amanda.
