Box Score Host Haverford College scored twice in the first half
to post a 2-0 win over visiting Washington College in a Centennial
Conference women's soccer game this afternoon in Haverford,
PA.
The Fords (10-4 overall, 5-2 Centennial) took a 1-0
lead when Meg Boyer sent a cross from the left
side which Katie Van Aken kicked into the bottom
left of the goal. Haverford's second goal came at 27:07 as
Anna Rayne chipped in a free kick from 25 yards
out.
Haverford held a 23-11 advantage in shots and a 9-4
edge in corner kicks in the game.
Kayleigh Herrick-Reynolds made six
saves in goal for Haverford in the win. Junior goalkeeper
Tori Ripple
(Baltimore, MD/John Carroll) made seven saves in the loss
for Washington.
Junior midfielder Gabby Devaud
(Baltimore, MD/Institute of Notre Dame) paced the
Washington offense with four shots.
The Shorewomen (4-8-1, 0-7) return to action Saturday
with a 1:00 p.m. Centennial Conference game at McDaniel.
