WESTMINSTER, MD -- Host McDaniel College scored the game's only goal in the ninth minute of a 1-0 Centennial Conference women's soccer victory over visiting Washington College this afternoon in Westminster, MD.

Rachael Hurst scored on McDaniel's (3-8-3, 2-6 Centennial) first shot of the game at the 8:12 mark. The Shorewomen (4-9-1, 0-8)  held an 8-4 advantage in shots in the first half.

Washington took another 13 shots in the second half to five for McDaniel, but could not get the equalizer. Sophomore defender Gabby Antalffy (Baltimore, MD/Sparrows Point) took the final shot of the game at 88:12, but it was saved by McDaniel goalkeeper Jan Woolley.

Woolley finished with 12 saves in the win for the Green Terror, while junior goalkeeper Tori Ripple (Baltimore, MD/Bel Air) made four in the loss for Washington. 

The Shorewomen return to action Tuesday with a 4:00 p.m. Centennial Conference game at Bryn Mawr.
