Berry Makes Eight Saves In Goal

WESTMINSTER, Md. – Host McDaniel scored once in the first half and twice in the second half to down visiting Washington College, 3-0,  at the Green Terror Soccer Complex on Saturday afternoon in a Centennial Conference women's soccer match.  The Green Terror finish the season 9-5-4 overall and 3-4-3 in the Centennial, while the Shorewomen finish 3-11-3 and 0-8-2 respectively.

McDaniel took the lead when Maggie Quinn scored unassisted at 14:29 of the first half.  In the second half, Christina Wroblewski made it 2-0 at the 66:29 mark and Kristen Upton finished off a corner kick off the foot of Erica Diffendahl with 25 seconds to go in the match to cap the scoring.

The Green Terror held an 18-3 advantage in shots and had five of the six corner kicks in the match.  In goal, Sarah McDonald made two saves for McDaniel, while sophomore goalkeeper Melissa Barry (Sparta, N.J./Sparta) made eight saves.

Three seniors played in their final match as a Shorewoman today, forward Marisa Atkins (Fenwick Island, Del./Indian River), back Taylor Matteson (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) and forward Suzanne Patinella (Fallston, Md./Maryvale Prep)
