Box Score SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Host Swarthmore got double-doubles from Chris Bourne (game-best 21 points and 10 rebounds to tie for game-high) and Robbie Walsh (16 points and 10 boards to tie for contest-best) in an 84-54 win over visiting Washington College at Tarble Pavilion in a Centennial Conference men's basketball game on Tuesday night. The Garnet improve to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the Centennial, while the Shoremen drop to 1-3 and 0-1 respectively.

How It Happened
-The Garnet raced out to a 25-10 lead 6:10 into the game on a putback layup by Walsh.
-Washington responded with a 16-8 run to cut the lead to 33-26 with 7:20 left in the first half on a three-pointer by Kevin McCormick.
-The Shoremen would score seven of the final nine points of the first half to trim the Swarthmore lead to 38-35 as Clay Smith drained a triple with one second left in the half.
-Swarthmore opened the second half on an 11-3 run to take a 49-38 lead with 16:02 left in the game on a Bourne layup.
-Swarthmore's biggest lead was the final margin as the Garnet outscored the guests 46-19 in the second half.
For The Shoremen (1-3, 0-1 CC)
-McCormick (eight points), Smith (eight points), James Drury (five rebounds), Joey Shelton (three assists)
-Washington shot 32% (20-for-62) from the floor, 29% from three-point range (9-for-31) and 36% from the foul stripe (5-for-14).
-The Shoremen held a 17-6 advantage in points off of turnovers and outscored Swarthmore off the bench by a 32-23 margin.
For Swarthmore (5-0, 2-0 CC)
-Bourne (21 points and 10 rebounds), Walsh (16 points, 10 rebounds and game-high three blocks), Matt Brennan (five assists)
-The Garnet shot 59% (31-for-53) from the field, 35% (7-for-20) from beyond the arc and 75% (15-for-20) from the free throw line.
-Swarthmore outrebounded Washington 52-17 and outscored the guests in second-chance points (19-4) and points in the paint (38-14).
Notes
-Shoremen turned it over a season-low six times in the game, while forcing 17 turnovers from Swarthmore.
