Box Score Shelton Puts Up Career Highs in Points, Rebounds for Shoremen in Loss
CHESTERTOWN, Md. — Seventeenth-ranked Franklin & Marshall used a 12-0 first-half run to take control of the game and fought off a second-half charge by host Washington College en route to an 82-72 Centennial Conference men's basketball victory this afternoon inside Cain Athletic Center.

How It Happened
- The Shoremen held a 12-10 lead with under 15 minutes to play in the first half before F&M reeled off 12 unanswered points to take a 22-12 lead on a Hunter Eggers three-pointer with 12:27 on the clock.
- F&M led by at least six points the rest of the half and took a 43-34 lead into the locker room on a Kevin Beins lay-up with two seconds to go.
- The Diplomat lead grew to as many as 18 points in the second half before the Shoremen got back to within eight points. F&M put the game away with a 7-1 spurt, capped off by a pair of free throws by Hunter Eggers with 2:12 left to push the margin to 75-61.
For the Shoremen (2-11, 0-7 Centennial Conference)
- Joey Shelton turned in his first career double-double with career highs of 20 points and 14 rebounds. Dave Knox added 16 points and nine boards, while Tas Dixon dished out a career-high seven assists.
For Franklin & Marshall (13-2, 8-0 Centennial Conference)
- Cedric Moune shot 9-for-11 from the field en route to 19 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocks for F&M. Brandon Federici scored 19 points of his own, while Hunter Eggers scored 18 points.
