Box Score Knox Posts Double-Double in Loss
WESTMINSTER, Md. — Host McDaniel College jumped out to a 15-point halftime lead en route to a 66-54 Centennial Conference men's basketball victory over visiting Washington College tonight in Westminster, Md.

How It Happened
- The Green Terror added to an early five-point lead with a 9-0 run as a Tim Stewart lay-up gave McDaniel a 22-8 cushion midway through the first half. McDaniel led by between 11 and 17 points the rest of the half and took a 34-19 advantage into halftime.
- McDaniel shot 14-for-24 from the field in the first half, including a 6-for-9 mark from beyond the three-point arc.
- The Green Terror scored the first five points of the second half as the lead grew to 20 at 39-19 on a lay-up by Kevin Yrizarry. Thre lead stayed in double digits until a Dave Knox lay-up with 29 seconds to go make it 63-54.
For the Shoremen (2-13, 0-8 Centennial Conference)
- Knox recorded a double-double with 16 points and a game-high 10 rebounds. James Drury scored 12 points in 18 minutes off the bench. Tas Dixon dished out a team-best five assists to go along with six points.
- Washington had a 29-22 advantage on the glass in the loss.
For McDaniel (7-8, 4-5 Centennial Conference)
- Wes Brooks poured in a game-high 24 points, knocking down all six of his three-point attempts. Stewart had 13 points, while Austin Cannon scored 12 and dished out a game-high six assists.
- The Green Terror shot 53.1% from the field in the game and committed seven fewer turnovers than the Shoremen (13 to 20).
