Box Score Junior Scores Off Kaliakin Corner Kick
CHESTERTOWN, Md. — Junior defender Michael Holowesko (Nassau, Bahamas/Asheville School [N.C.]) scored the game's only goal in the 31st minute to give host Washington College a 1-0 non-conference men's soccer win over visiting Goucher this afternoon on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby, Jr. Stadium.

How It Happened
- The Shoremen had an early scoring chance when a header by Michael Holowesko off a free kick by Dimitri Kaliakin went high in the third minute.
- A Goucher shot by Brandon Cohen in the eighth minute forced Washington goalkeeper Josh Samuels to make a diving save to his right.
- The Shoremen broke through when a corner kick by Kaliakin was headed into the upper left corner by Holowesko for a 1-0 Washington lead at the 30:38 mark.
- The Shoremen held a sizable 12-1 advantage in shots in the second half.
- Blake Hardesty sent a shot toward the Goucher goal in the 71st munute that Daniel Hendry back-pedaled to save, narrowly avoiding going across the goal line.
- A sequence in the 77th minute led to three shots on goal for the Shoremen, but Hendry made two saves and and a Goucher defender played the other off the line to prevent a goal.
